PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION

Review and discuss existing Ad-Hoc Sub-Committees and make recommendations to determine which Ad-Hoc Sub-Committees remain active, warrant change, or complete based on Tree Advisory Committee priorities and consistency with duties established in the enabling ordinance Excerpt from Ordinance 1874, Section 2.80.050 regarding duties for reference: The Tree Advisory Committee shall perform the duties designated and delegated by the City Council on matters pertaining to the management of tree resources within the City. The Committee shall also serve as a forum for the coordination of tree-related City policies, and shall advise the City on matters referred by City departments, and other Council-appointed hearing bodies. Current Ad-Hoc Sub-Committees for reference; Protect: Advocate and educate the community around policies like the Tree Preservation Ordinance Grow: Connect with community and volunteer groups to promote tree plantings Engage: Connect with staff regarding public websites updates and keep current on events
